English Language Challenges

Hi guys and teacher today im going to talk about English Language Challenges

English classes at all levels I made were very entertaining, I learned things at school never could understand. Sometimes the days of classes were very stressful and it was hard for me to study for other classes. Many times I wanted to go home and rest but I knew how important it was to participate in classes and improve my English.

My biggest difficulty was losing the shame of being wrong when he spoke in class or say a word wrong, I learned that all my colleagues had trouble English like me and it was not important whether mocked or not, the important thing was to improve and learn.

one of my biggest problems the auditory part, I still costs a little understanding when I hear recordings or movies have to practice more and hear more music in English well I'll see movies in English to understand better when someone talks to me.

The easiest way to learn this semester was writing, that was my favorite part. Learning to write new words and apply them in my day to day.

at present it is very important to know English, I met at work a man from USA and know a little English helped me to communicate, I hope to perfect what I need and learn more.

Next year I'll do a course in English to improve over what I have learned and improve aspects that I need. hopefully in about two years to travel and use everything I learned in college.

Hi guys and teacher today im going to talk about this year..

This year for me has been very good in some ways and more or less in others.

For one thing my parents have been some health problems that has caused me problems and constant concern. fortunately are now a little better and I just have to care much.

But this 2014 has mostly been good for me at the University everything was fine, sometimes stressed out and I just wanted to be in my house, I knew very simpaticas and entertaining people. Also personally it was a beautiful year because I promised my boyfriend, definitely that day (November 1) was one of the best in my life.

Another good thing this year was to learn that one of my best childhood friends is pregnant, the news was very shocking for me not expect to be aunt so soon, but you know how happy she was to be a mother I'm happy for her. I'm anxious waiting for the baby to be born early to love and cherish forever.

Finally another thing that has been very good to me this year was the work, money was very important because he used it to travel from home to study at the university. sometimes working with the university and the different responsibilities I had was a little hard but I could fulfill all my responsibilities.

As you will see in this I was lucky to have a very good 2014 I hope to finish it in the best way and start with all the encouragement in the best way, and that my parents to be in good health.

HOW GREEN ARE YOU?

Hi classmate this day i will talk about a how green i am.

This topic is a little distant for me, unfortunately  i’m not an very ecologic person  maybe for a bad habit or sometimes unconsciousness.  I live in my city rancagua and not much culture for the care of the environment, The mining  pollutes so much  and the city every day looks dirty and contaminated.

The only solution to learn to care for the environment is to educate people and teach them the importance of being responsible in caring for our environment. In my town there are not many places to recycle, maybe teach children in school to care for the planet would help reduce pollution in the future.

As transportation usually use my boyfriend's car, sometimes when the days are not so sunny preferred to walk to go to the supermarket or just for walking, biking is very complicated, the sun is a great enemy for cyclists and soil suffer severe headaches when I'm in the sun.

in my life I have never belonged to an eco-organizations first because I had not interested me much on the subject, secondly because the topic was unknown to me, I know of many eco-organizations but later and slowly I start to change my bad habits and also change the habits of my family. started by removing bags when we go to the supermarket now only use ecological bags, for us it is a great first step.

Santiago and throughout Chile has much to do to improve the environmental pollution first  is educate and second, to respect others.

My career

Hi dear classmates! In this post I want to write about my career and why I choose this.

I’am in my fourth year studding psychology and  I chose to study this career  because  I wanted to be an aid  when  the people had different problem, work with children was my dream  But  my history  with the psychology started  at  the school.

In this place   I met a very good teacher, Nancy Jaramillo,   she was a psychologist and their class for me was very fun.  I enjoyed the days when I have this class. With she I knew more about the psychology, deferent authors, theory and areas of work here started my interest for this career.

In my last year in the school, I searched information of different universities and careers but always with the idea of study psychology , I don’t  liked  any  more  I thought study in the University of Valparaiso but I applied for psychology in the University of Chile and I was accepted.

This moment was very happy for me because I never thought studied my dream career in the best university in Chile. 

My favorite hobbie

Hi classmate in this post i talk about one of my hobby read…

When i was a little girl a like when my mom read for me someone fairytale  this was one of my favorite activities with my parent. This was a moment very especial.

In the school all month we had to read one or two books and i really love this activity. I read with much anticipation.

Now, i don’t have much free time for reading the books that  i like, i have to read a lot for the different test or evaluations  i can say my imagination is "in the jail"   in all my life a read many books, for preference, for curiosity  or for duty.

I read different thing, maybe this have relation with my state emotional, in moments i like reading romance or fictions etc.But my favorite writer is Gabriel Garcia Marquez and my favorite book is "Cien años de Soledad". I read this book approximately in five different moments of my live and always find something different.

Recently i reading "The diet of the death", and i finish on two days i was interested on the topic of anorexia for long time. This book is about the autobiography of Denisse, she has anorexia and telling her history from infancy, different therapies that she has and when she fined help in a psychologist.

 I recommend it to all peope not only to person that suffer this illness, this is a book  recommend for all people for taking conscience and maybe help to somebody

My experience in the field

Hi classmate! I hope you have a great day : D

Today I going to talk about an experience in the field, this experience was an activity for the subject: legal juridical. I remember this experience because this was my first experience in a trial of a person this was in 2013.

This activity consisted in first place in search in a web site different dates of trial and the crimes that different people were accused. I chose a juice for family violence, I was interested in knew the context of the family  violence principally  in the woman rol.

After that we went to court and were part of the public in this trial.  In that space the victim lawyer and the accused lawyer presented all evidence  were needed to take the decision of the judge. Presented the evidence had a break, after of two hours  the judge was sentencing.

Tthe most difficulty was see the family of the accused, they was so angry with me because i was in this place taking notes... they thought that i was a law student, they asked me and i told them i was just a student of psychology. I told him not to worry that I did not want to inconvenience. 

The best thing about the experience was meeting this area of psychology that was unknown to me. People were very friendly and we ended up talking for a long time. 

My future job

Hi guys i hope you have a great day… today I going to talk about a future job…

After of four years  the final of my career is coming and is time to think in the future.

I'm studying psychology  and in the future I would like to be a clinical psychologist; I would like to specialize in working with children because I think the childhood is the most important stage in the formation of any person.

I would like to travel sometimes and have the opportunity to know other realities, other countries and cities and of course know different child and contribute with my work to improve the psychology to children.

But I think that the most time I will be in a clinic,  I would convert that space into a appropriate place to work not only with children as with their parents, is important for me  improve the quality of life  of  families who need help with my work.

My ideal job would be in a public hospital everyone asks me why and think I'm crazy for wanting to work in public attention but I think there is a lot of deprivation among those who pay for mental health care and those who do not have money.

I hope in the future  work with these children

Cultural Shock

Hi classmates! in this post i talk about the cultural shock.

As student of psychology I understand this topic as the different changes that a person confront when arrive to other country and know other culture all is different; for example food, lifestyle, transportation etc. All this changes have a impact or shock in the life of one person when arrive to other place.

I personally have never had the chance to travel to another country, but I remember that if I met a guy form Colombia he is now studying psychology in the university and he told me all changes that he lived when arrived to chile.

For him many things are very different the food, lifestyle and words that we used. The chilean use words very particular por example "cachay, altiro or words ends in po" this was a aspect very complicated for him many times he didn't understand when a classmate spoke with he. The chilean speak very fast and sometimes  pronounce really bad or  get shorter the word. 

My friend missed the friendliness of the Colombian people they are very cordial and funny but the chilean people is less affectionate and always seems to be angry. 
For him to live in chile was a difficult but interesting experience

Green Day in Chille

Green day, October 24^th 2010

Hi! Today I tell you about the best concert ever! They are GREEN DAY an American band of Punk rock I love this band and this was my first concert for this reason was really important for me…

I remember when they confirmed the date of the tour, I was really excited when I  read in the official web site: “ Chile October 24^th in Santiago”, My mom  bough the ticket for the concert and just wait for  the months to go by.

The day of the concert my cousin Cristian and I went to Santiago, we arrived at 8 am and the concert was to 9 pm, I remember that the atmosphere during the event was only fun, all sang and wait the moment of the show.  I was very surprised during the show, any video that I saw was compared with this moment, all was perfect!

This day met fans of different part of Chile, this was nice because all have an objective in common, enjoyed the concert and met Billie joe, Mike and tre. And now four years after we continue speak by Facebook. 

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

Hi guys!! 

Today I will tell you about the country i'd like to visit...

I want some day visit USA, for me is a very interested country to visit because this place have the virtue of gather many   people of different cultures and for the important history that I can know. But all is not nice, one problem of United States is the crazy lifestyle produce of  the overpopulation . 

When I travel i would visit many places but principally two the Mount Rushmore and the  Lincoln memorial in Washington DC this have a reason  When I was 12 year I am very curious to know about the history of USA and  the principal national heroes  George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt y Abraham Lincoln.

 When I said United States always think in Hollywood, Disney and the funny night of Las Vegas but I think that exist a lot history  unknown.  I really like the history and art and I hope can visit many museums, parks and historical building and why not, build the history living the history.

THE FINAL IS COMING...

Never in my life i like zombies, because are disgusting and terrifying but this is not the only reason... always thought that one day the zombies attack us and we all die.
Well, I have this idea of zombies this from I had seven  year… and for me a zombie is a  dead person who has returned to life and they always is  killing people, non-communicative, only groaning, hungry for human flesh and the unique form  that they die is with the destruction of the brain,  this kills them.
I don’t remember listening about zombies before to I was  seven year, maybe in this time the zombie are not so popular as now… The serie Walking Dead gave fame to the zombies and all person speak about this program.
Now with 21 years I not really sure that the zombie don’t exist.. who know? Maybe in some day they kills all the persons  :O !!!  i'm joking I don’t believe in zombies...now.
When I live with my best  friend I met a true zombie!!!!! His name is Felipe, and is the more similar that you can find to one zombie… in the morning he walking with a zombie and don’t speak, he groaning hahaha, he hate the morning, and hate  all people in the morning. (I love Felipe <3 )

Today i tell you about my favorite website related with my career, this is SOPNIA, Society of Psychiatry and Neurology of childhood and adolescence, (www.sopnia.com).

This is  a official website of Chile, we can find  date of conference, important information for  psychiatrists and psychologists or for any person interested in the mental health in children and adolescents, information for subscriber, but the most important for me, I visit this web- site when i need reed for do a work for the university, i can reed the online publications and its free! 

I know this page this year when the teacher of the subject " Clinical intervention", recommended use it in the final work. She said that her love this page and when i know it, i love to. 

In other moments i used other web site but when i find something but always i  was  feel disappointed because for reed the complete publication,  you have to pay.

I realy love this site is current, is reliable, (is not Wikipedia) and  you don't need subscribe :)

Iloca

Hello guys!

I took this picture from Iloca  on my first trip to the south of Chile with my brother, a friend and my boyfriend , in October 2013.
This picture is very simple i'm not a expert photographer,   but i love it because represent all that i love, have  peace, relaxation , purity and tranquility. This picture was took for me when we visit  diferents beach of the south

This travel was very spontaneous, my big brother tell me about this idea of go to the south , one hour before to go! ... I was  confuse.. i didn't  know if i should go with he...
So,  i call my friend in this moment, now my  boyfriend and he tell me that he want go!...  and finally  decided we start  the adventure.

I love remember this travel, because this place was the perfect scenery for beginning my history of love  :) and i visit  beautiful places, I ate seafood and meet very nice people. This travel during one weekend..  and i hope come back some day..

Altruistic love

Hi guys! 

Today I will tell you about a true love...  altruistic love

My first pet, my beautiful kitty, Celeste.

On 17 of December, 2012 one day  before  my birthday my mom

gave me a wonderful present, she brought  at the house this pet for me.

From this day i became in  my cat mom  and  today i'm a cat lover. 

The love that Celeste gives me is so pure, she doesn't lie to me, doesn't hurt me,

she is only love and purrs :)

When i think about  Celeste or see her in my house, happy and free i feel sad

for the animals in the zoo, I DISAGREE with animal in jail , the animals are not a object! 

Fortunately , i have never been bitter by any animals , maybe for this

reason i love  her so much.

Finally some days i feel (when i'm tired because of the university or my job) i would like be

a cat because the life of the cats is all about sleeping , eating , play, and sleeping more 

 I want this life.

obsession?

I hear this all days...

Nicole please leave your cell phone! ( say: my dad, mom, friends or my boyfriend) 

but i can't! it's so fun :) 

My  favourite piece of technology is my cellphone, I have it from six month and  I bought  it in a liquidation in Ripley.

I use mi cellphone for differents things, call,  for read, send emails, send message for  whatsapp, listening music, watch movies por Netflix, check a documents etc...

I use my phone all the time, in the bus, in class (except in english jajaja), etc.

 BUT i have a ruler: I don't use mi phone when speaking with other persons i really hate when the people do this!

you see that? I can do so much with only ONE piece of technology .. my life is more easy with my phone, i forget of the heavy rucksack with my old notebook or computer

The beginning of the end

Finally  my fourth year... four years of the many emotions, illusions,errors, friends, etc. the begginning of the end is comming ... :D
This year i have the opportunity of take differents subjects, finally it's me, who choose that learn.!
 I have six differents subjects:
- capacitation and development of persons
- clinic intervention
- psychology of sports
- psychology for parents
- historical notes of the psychology  in Chile
- english III
I really like this semester i have very good teachers and classmate,
 in this ocation i don't  taking extracurriculars because i dont have many free time.
I hope not die in this semester!, no really I but i hope will really prepared for all the exams and homeworks ahhh and can sleep more of five hours for day...please! 

Who am I?

Hi, mi name is Nicole Acuña, i'm twenty one years old. I was born in Rengo, a small town of the Rancagua. I living with my parent and my little sister, oh wait! i forgot my beautiful cat, Celeste. 
At present i'm studding psychology in the University of Chile, i'm in my fourth year. But not only studding, i have two part-time jobs in my "free" time.  I work hard for my next holidays in Perú and Bolivia with my boyfriend, but sometimes,  I fell really tired...
In the weekend i really loved go to the park, listening music, read- without pressure - and watch the Simpsons all day!
My favorite group is Green Day, I like since, more of ten years. But only i can see them in Chile one time. 



Finally... in the next picture present my
